About STL Daily
A daily starting point for exploring St. Louis.
An independent local project
STL Daily brings together events, places to eat and drink, parking information, and daily neighborhood games. It is built and maintained by Aditya Aravind. It is an independent project, not an official City of St. Louis service or a venue booking site.
Use the events calendar to find something to do, the date night planner to put an evening together, or the field guide to explore the app.
Where the information comes from
- Events: public venue calendars, sports schedules, the City of St. Louis calendar, and community submissions reviewed before publication. Each calendar listing links to its source when one is available. Some sports listings are away games to watch on TV; check the venue and away label.
- Weather: forecasts and alerts from the National Weather Service.
- Bars and restaurants: OpenStreetMap contributors and reviewed, location-specific venue information. Restaurant listings require recent operating evidence. Operating status and opening hours are checked separately; unknown hours do not mean a place is closed.
- Parking: the city's published meter rules, meter locations and street-sweeping zones. Check the parking map for its sources and limitations. Posted signs take precedence; a map result is not permission to park.
- Camera locations: crowdsourced OpenStreetMap records using DeFlock tagging. A marker does not establish whether a camera is active or can see a particular address.
OpenStreetMap data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and available under the Open Database License.
Updates and corrections
Automated builds refresh public feeds throughout the day. Sources can fail or publish incomplete information. When a build fails, the site may retain the last successful snapshot; data status shows when the datasets were last refreshed.
Always check the official event or venue website before traveling. Schedules, availability, admission and hours can change after a source is checked.
Submit an event from the calendar, or suggest restaurant corrections from the venue's details in the restaurant guide. Contributions are reviewed before they appear publicly. For site bugs or source corrections, open a GitHub issue; include the page, source link and what needs correcting, and leave out private account information.
