Where this comes from
- Dinner chooses a restaurant with sourced hours checked in the past 90 days, open at your chosen time (or now, if later). Dish recommendations link back to the venue’s menu. Check holiday hours and last seating before setting off.
- The bar (in Any mode) is picked from the 158 bars on our map, filtered to the ones whose recorded hours say they're open at 8 pm tonight. Hours come from OpenStreetMap and nowhere else; a bar nobody has recorded hours for is left out rather than guessed at.
- Free and Sober swap the bar for somewhere from a short, hand-kept list of St. Louis institutions — no bar is free, and a bar is the wrong answer for someone who isn't drinking. "Free" means admission costs nothing; anything you buy once you're inside plainly doesn't. We hold no hours for these, so the step says to check the link.
- The event comes from tonight's calendar: Blues and Cardinals schedules, the Saint Louis Art Museum, and the City of St. Louis events feed, refreshed daily. Only things still running at eight are offered.
- The parking line is the City Treasurer's meter rule for the hour you'd be arriving. Posted signs are always official.
- Everyone opening this page today sees the same plan. "Another plan" walks the list, so it can't hand you back what it just showed, and anywhere you've told us you went is left out entirely.
